shit shit shit Ace Enders and The Gay Blades are in Philly the same night as Lil Wayne. Why does this keep happening to me?! Everyone I wanna see plays on the same night lately.

EDIT: I just bought my Lil Wayne ticket, so I'm def doing that. There was a "No fee Wednesdays" promotion on Live Nation, so by getting it tonight I only paid $29.99 (it starts at $23) and I get a free soda, hot dog, and parking. If I bought it tomorrow or any other day, it would've been about $40 with fees! (and no free soda, hot dog, and parking)

lmao my life is so boring right now

I started Twilight today at work... I was on page 70 by the end of the day, ha. Now I'm on page 153, and it's pretty good. I wouldn't say it's great, but I like it. But maybe it gets better? Idk, I just find myself skimming a paragraphs here and there because I just don't find them interesting or well written. (usually about the rain/weather or the boys that are in love with her.) Butttt I'm not saying I don't like the book! I guess I should wait until I finish until I give a review, huh?

la la laaaaa my life is currently so boring. I go to work and go home. That's all, at least during the week. Oh well... this weekend I'm off to Lancaster! Next weekend I'll be at the beach, then the next weekend is Lil Wayne. I guess I live for the weekends!

Making out to Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter is the best thing ever, especially when you're in love with the boy you are making out with.

(even though it's a sad song, it sounds very romantic. "I can't take my eyes off of you...")

ALSO - Lady Gaga is so fucking weird.

Sad story. [11 Jul 2009|05:16pm]
I work in the same building as my mom, and she has a police scanner in her office. We heard on it that this old lady called to report that her husband who has Alzheimer's was missing. The police got there and looked around for a little bit with no luck, until they got a call that the woman's husband has actually been dead for seven years. She has Alzheimer's.

When I logged into livejournal, it said:
Last updated 25 weeks ago.

wah! I plan to change that. I have tooo much to say. :)

But first I'm going to make all my old entries private. I want to start over.

P.S. I kinda forget how lj works. If I "friend" someone, that means they can see my entries, but I can't see theirs unless they "friend" me, right? It's confusing because it's like the opposite of Twitter.

EDIT: When I went to make them all private, good thing I noticed that it said: Please use the form below to find the entry you would like to edit. To edit the security of your entries en masse, go to the Mass Security Tool. This is my lucky day! I really didn't expect lj to have something like that.

EDIT AGAIN: Fuck me! that "edit the security of your entries en masse" is only for paid accounts. ugh

I am legit STUPID. I have an envelope of money from the bank, and I hid it somewhere in my room the last time I cleaned, and I don't know where I put it. Now I'm out of cash!

Woah. How AMAZING is this tattoo?!

I think the balloon is on the guy's shoulder, you know? Then it's a half sleeve.

After I saw this one in Circa's myspace album of tattoos, the rest in the album looked so crappy. I want to find this artist and get something amazing!

I've had my ipod since my sixteenth birthday, and it has always been a wonderful mp3 player to me. I always hear people complain about their ipods and how bad the batteries are, etc etc, but mine has been perrrfect. Plus it has withstood so much abuse that I've put it through (if only you could see how scratched it is.. haha).

Mmmmm okay, but now I need a new ipod. Look at it now.

See that black line thing? It started out one day as a little black spot, and since then it has been growing daily. AHHHH!

Any input? I'm really sad to have to get a new ipod... I'm really attached to mine. eh

And if the timing is right to sneak off into the night,
I'll let myself be taken just for the thrill.

I'm finally listening to the new Hush Sound cd.. and I love it a lot. Please go listen to Honey and The Boys Are Too Refined right now. Hurricane is really good too. Holey moley.

I really feel like the quote above describes my life lately though.

Adios for a little bit.

Wednesday --> Sunday = Pittsburgh, PA
Sunday -----> Thursday = Jamaica

:)

We're driving home from Pittsburgh, so seriously, I'll be getting home at about 2am on Sunday morning and will have to leave for the airport around 6am. Hectic much?

These are quotes from my favorite movies from imdb.com. Guess what they are!

1. Miss Smith, why would Regina refer to herself as a fugly slut? Mean Girls

2. You know what? Fuck beauty contests. Life is one fucking beauty contest after another. School, then college, then work... fuck that. And fuck the Air Force Academy. If I want to fly, I'll find a way to fly. You do what you love, and fuck the rest. Little Miss Sunshine

3. Hold your ground, hold your ground! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

4. Will you marry me when you are seventy? You'd have nothing to lose.

5. You know, our bodies are capable of doing some very funny things when they're consumed by stress and anxiety. Uh, I found my ex-best friend's cufflinks in my wife's purse. I couldn't get an erection for a year and a half. For example. Garden State

6. The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. Pirates of the Caribbean 1

7. Anyway, did you really want to do Rex Manning in the count-out room? Is that how you always imagined your first time would be? Your back up against the daily totals and your feet pounding against the safe? 'Oh Rexy stop that. You're so sexy!' Empire Records

8. Sometimes I think people don't understand how lonely it is to be a kid, like you don't matter. So, I'm eight, and I have these toys, these dolls. My favorite is this ugly girl doll who I call _____________, and I keep yelling at her, "You can't be ugly! Be pretty!" It's weird, like if I can transform her, I would magically change, too. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

9. Don't have sex, because you will get pregnant and die! Don't have sex in the missionary position, don't have sex standing up, just don't do it, OK, promise? OK, now everybody take some rubbers. Mean Girls

10. You wear black 'cause you can't find anything else to wear? You found your sound 'cause you can't play no better? You just tried to kiss me because "it just happened?" You should try take credit for something every once in a while, John. Walk The Line

11. You should've gone to China, you know, 'cause I hear they give away babies like free iPods. You know, they pretty much just put them in those t-shirt guns and shoot them out at sporting events. Juno

12. I know there'll be risks but I want to face them with you. It's wrong that we should be only half alive... half of ourselves. I love you. So here I am - standing in your doorway. I have always been standing in your doorway. Isn't it about time somebody saved your life?

13. But you're not listening to me. There are other things that need to be taken into account here. Like the whole spectrum of human emotion. You can't just lump everything into these two categories and then just deny everything else!

gahhh I love #3 so much.. it's such an inspiring moment in that movie. I hope someone gets it.

[ music | envy on the coast, as usual ]

I know you think you know, but these eyelids are windows that shut you out from all the things that I don't want you to know. And I refuse to tell you one single secret I own, 'cause you'll find I'm petrified of your eyes..

A few random pictures from recently, including lunar eclipse, the birdhouse on my lawn (haha), and the Chinese New Year Parade.

Predisposed to trust a photograph? )

The next time I'll post pictures from various shows, I promise...

[ music | envy on the coast - tell them that she's not scared acoustic pacsun song thing ]

I don't even know what to say about Envy On The Coast! I love them so much. I think the only other band I love to see live as much as them is Valencia.

Also, tonight was not the first time I saw the Audition, but it was the first time I liked them.

Story about talking to EOTC later when I'm not about to pass out from exhaustion. (friends-only)

I love lists. [24 Jan 2008|10:31am]
This is three weeks late! hah

Favorite albums/eps of 2007:
Envy On The Coast - Lucy Gray
New Atlantic - The Streets, the Sounds, the Love
Promise of Redemption - When The Flowers Bloom
Circa Survive - On Letting Go
The Reign Of Kindo - The Reign Of Kindo EP
Feist - The Reminder
The Starting Line - Direction
The Morning Light - The Sounds Of Love EP

Biggest Disappointment: The Academy Is... - Santi

Oh, and I always forget that Fall Out Boy put out an album this year, because I listened to it for a few weeks and didn't touch it again. hmm

I wish I bought these, because they prob would've made my favorites list:
Paper Rival - Paper Rival EP
The Gay Blades - Ghosts
Capitol Risk - Dream EP
Kanye West - Graduation
Paramore - Riot!
Wilco - Sky Blue Sky
Rascal Flatts - Still Feels Good

Most Anticipated for 2008:
Jack's Mannequin, This Providence, Valencia, Ace Enders and a Million Different People,
Regina Spektor (??? I don't know, I think she's due for a new album..)

I was trying to make a "best live shows" list too, but that was too hard. It was cool to see artists like Bjork, Interpol, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Coachella (and I met Danny Devito there and saw Paris Hilton and Ryan Cabrera ahahah). The Valencia holiday show was amaaazing, and so was New Atlantic in FYE the day their album came out. This year I also got to see a lot of artists of my favorite bands play solo/acoustic, such as Kenny Vasoli, Anthony Green, Shane Henderson, Ace Enders.. and I don't even listen to All Time Low, but their acoustic show at the church was really good. Regina Spektor was the cutest person alive, and my friends and I started a dance party at Rooney that even the singer of Rooney told people should join. :) So basically it's way too hard to pick the best shows!

In other news, I think I beasted my calc midterm this morning.. and right now I really want bubble tea from the Bubble House that's hidden behind the Starbucks on Penn's campus, but no one wants to go to Philly with me. blahhh it's too cold outside for me to want to go alone.
